There are great movies,
There are entertaining movies,
There are classics,And sometimes there is a movieexperience so perfect, where entertainment, drama and philosophy meets in a way so breathtaking it can be summed up by one picture: An 18-wheeler who flips 180 degrees on the streets of Chicago…
flipthetruck is a blog, looking for all the types of movie experiences, but especially those very rare truckflips that only happen from time to time.
The movies I liked are filed under “movies with a truck”
The bad movies are filed under “truckless movies”
The “Speed Racer Nominees” is a list of movies so terrible they can be considered artworks.

Hey you are Austrian, why not write articles in German?
I don’t have a rational argument to make here. For some reason I enjoy writing articles in English, maybe it makes me feel more important or smart, who knows?
My main problem with writing in German is that movie reviews in German is something I really despise. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that most Austrian/German journalists who are covering movies and sometimes the movies I watch (i.e. american movies) have a big anti-america bias and overempathize how great European cinema is compared to american.
Or a lot of times it has to do with so-called movie experts getting called to broadcasts in Austria who have to give their opinion on stuff like the Oscar race which is so incredibly ill-informed… it makes me bang my head onto the desk.
Or maybe it’s just because when writing English I don’t feel like the pretentious down-talking ass I am, because it’s not sounding half as harsh as if I’d be writing the same sentence in German.
actually, you know what’d be nice? if you added something like “reviews” into your navigation bar which summons all the movies you rated on your blog in a list. often you only give away some news or whatever, and i’d would be really nice to find only the reviews of films really quick. perfect would be just a list in alphabetical order that links to the whole review. think ’bout that, i think it would come superhandy!
cheers.
oh, i just realized that you already have some categories to the right… never seen those before, and i’m pretty sure lot’s of others neither. ever thought of putting those categories up in our navigation bar?
and still, i’d prefer a simple A-Z list of reviews over that article summarize you get when clicking on “reviews”!
I’ll work that out, generally the layout needs some do-overs
made a temporary menu under the banner, let’s see how that works
like it!
